Aspid is a research project exploring the enduring relevance of myths and archetypes associated with femininity, gender roles, the romanticized representation of the flamenco dancer, the clash of forces, the struggle of opposites, mechanisms of coercion, strategies of emancipation, and the construction of identity through the choreographic and musical codes of flamenco.
